Torrent , Piratebay now Blocked in India
One of the popular file sharing site Torrentz.eu & thepiratebay.se has been blocked. It's home page shows the message which confirms that site has been blocked by the authorities in India. There is no news about the time for which the site is blocked so they will blocked till they take the down the copyrighted data in India. This adds dailymotion to the list of sites which have been blocked in last few months for the copyright protection.
Major ISP (Interenet service providers) like reliance, airtel & MTNL have blocked the these sites. That's why it has affected major cities like Mumbai, delhi. Where As BSNL customers are still able to enjoy it.
There was lot speculations about the torrent sites.showing adult That can be one of the reasons daily motion has been put down by major ISP. All the pages, subpages of the site gives 404 (page not found error) where as home page says.
"This site has been blocked as per the instructions of Competent Authority. "
Another Major site after megaupload
Earlier this year, Megaupload was put down & his founder was arrested under various copy right offense. Megaupload site was pulled in court by US district court & finally unplugged from rest of the world.Where as torrentz are still working in entire world. As per the court's order, major ISP have pulled the plugs of major sites like dailymotion,torrent.eu, piratebay.com.
