One V & Sony's performance has been sensational with Xperia P,
Xperia U & Xperia Sola. These are next generation smart phones with very advance features. These handsets are created to target the mid priced hand set buyers. These smart phones have great camera, connectivity & awesome touch. Lets have a look at some of the pros & cons of the phones.
HTC One V & Sony Xperia Sola
Display
The HTC One V & Sony Xperia Sola , both the phones have same capacitive touchscreen display. HTC One V supports 16M colors & sola is also of 16M colors.Surprisingly, both the gadgets are having display of same size which is 3.7 inch. Display are quite bright but the Sony has an edge with
sony bravia engine.The Xperia sola's display is quite sharper than HTC One V. It is 265 ppi of sharp where as , HTC One V's sharpness is around 252 ppi with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Both the cellphones have 3.5 Audio jack to connect headphone.
Design
The HTC One measures 120.3 mm lengthwise,59.7 mm breadth wise and 9.2 mm in thickness where as Xperia sola measures 116 mm lengthwise, 59 mm breadth wise and 9.9 mm in thickness.The HTC V is slightly heavier than the Xperia sola. It weighs 115gms while the Sola's weight is just 107 gms.
OS & Internal Memory
HTC has the Android OS with latest version of android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Second phone, Xperia Sola has the same OS with version v2.3 (Gingerbread). One V houses 4 GB internal space and 512 MB RAM. The Sony sola has 8 GB (5GB user accessible) internal space and 512 MB RAM. HTC's memory is expandable up to 32GB using microSD where as Sony Xperia sola's memory can be increased up to 32GB using the microSD.
Camera
Both the smart phones have 5 mega pixel camera as a primary camera &they have auto foucs as well as LED flash which comes handy when you need to take pictures in low light. Both the cell phones don't have secondary camera which is big disappointment for those who are looking cellphone to make video calls & use skype. Both the Phones are capable of shooting great videos at 720p(frames per second) & 720p@30fps respectively.
Battery
HTC One V's battery life is certainly better than Xperia sola's battery life. It has a stanadard battery of 1500 mAh capacity & Sola contains battery of 1320 mAh capacity. HTC One V lasts for maximum 470 hours when 2G is used & lasts for 475 hours when 3G internet accessed. Data about Sola's stand by time is not available yet.
Verdict
HTC One v looks quite impressive. It has ICS & loaded with HTC Sense, on the other hand Sola is also great phone to have & comes with most stable OS android 2.3 'gingerbread'. The deciding factor would be the prices & the OS.
