Samsung's dark horse Galaxy S3 is out & it is already creating buzz on web. The Galaxy S2 Succesor, S3 has already started making sensation. Galaxy Nexus is another phone which is packed with some great features. These are samsung's two of the high end smart phones which are feature rich & quite costly so not everyone can afford it. Another phones is the same league will be HTC One X & Motorola Atrix 2.

If  you are a budget conscious, then certainly these gadgets are not made for you. Any one who truly loves the technology, looking to explore should go for the Galaxy S3 or Nexus.
 

 

Display: Galaxy S3 is the Winner

The Samsung Galaxy S III as well as Samsung Galaxy Nexus sports same Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors. Galaxy S3 has a bigger display of 4.8 inch compared to Nexus's display which is of 4.65 inch.The Samsung Nexus's screen has slightly more sharpness than the S III’s screen. It is 316 ppi & has display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. On the other side, Galaxy S3 's sharpness is around 306 ppi with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. Both the display screens are protected by corning Gorilla glass, which is another plus point for the smart phones.

Samsung Galaxy has a thickness of 8.6 mm & has footprint dimensions of 136.6x70.6mm. Samsung S3 is a lightweight phone, weighing mere 133 gms, while the Galaxy Nexus weighs 135 gms. Galaxy S III as well as  Nexus sports 3.5 MM jack which allows you to connect the headphones.

Processor & Os

The Samsung Galaxy S III runs on a Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor & Exynos 4212 Quad chipset. On the other hand, Samsung Nexus is equipped with a TI OMAP 4460 chipset & Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processorBoth the smart phones - Samsung I9300 S3 & Samsung Galaxy Nexus have the latest & smartest android OS- Ice Cream Sandwich v4.x. in them. Samsung Galaxy S3 has the Android OS with version v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich).Its competitor,Samsung Galaxy Nexus has the Android OS with version v4.0. This Operating System is upgradable to v4.0.4.

Memory

As far the memory is considered, both phone come with excellent specifications & get out of marks. The  Galaxy S III has 16/32/64 GB storage capacity and 1 GB RAM. Galaxy Nexus has 16 GB storage capacity and 1 GB RAM. Samsung  S III's memory is expandable up to 64 GB using microSD and one of the disadvantages of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is, there is no provision to add microSD card.

Camera

Samsung I9300's has a better primary camera compared to  Nexus's primary shooter. Nexus sports primary camera with 5 mega pixel & Samsung I9300 sIII is loaded with camera of 8 mega pixels.Both the smart phones have auto focus as well as LED flash which comes handy when you need to take pictures in low light.Both the phones have secondary camera which is great advantage for tho who love to make video calls & use skype.Both the Phones are capable of shooting great videos at 1080p@30fps.

Battery

Samsung S3's  battery life is certainly better than Galaxy Nexus's battery life. It has a standard battery of 2100 mAh capacity & the Samsung Galaxy Nexus contains battery of 1750 mAh capacity.Samsung Galaxy S III lasts for maximum 290 hours when 2G is used & lasts for 270 hours when 3G Internet is used on the phone.
 

Price of Galaxy S3 & Google Nexus

Samsung Galaxy S3 is priced around $ 750 where as Nexus costs around  $550.
